Sillicon Valley (abbreviated as SV) is a place with many successful companies, geographically the southern part of the San Francisco Bay Area, referring to the Santa Clara Valley, which serves as the global center for high technology, venture capital, innovation, and social media. San José is the largest Valley’s largest city, other major SV cities include Palo Alto, Santa Clara, Mountain View and Sunnyvale.

The San José Metropolitan area has the 3rd highest GDP per capita in the world (after Zurich in Switzerland and Oslo in Norway)

Sillicon Valley is one of the most significant locations of the IT and high tech industry in the world.

Some of the biggest companies in Sillicon Valley are:

1.) Apple
